I’m starting to feel like I’m burning out at work, but I can’t afford to stop and take a break at any point because if I do, then everything will fall apart
I can’t ask for help because I am the only person that has full context on everything, so it’s starting to become very overwhelming
Hello there, I’m really sorry to hear you’re feeling this way. It sounds like a lot to carry on your own, and it’s completely understandable that you’re feeling overwhelmed.
It might help to take things one step at a time and prioritize your tasks. Talking to a colleague could be helpful, and if there’s any way to delegate even small tasks, it might lighten your load.
Taking small breaks in between can also make a difference. If you can, try to set aside some time, even if its a minute or two to wind down and take a breather.
Remember, taking care of yourself is just as important as your work. You’re doing your best and that’s something to be proud of. We’re here to support you in any way we can!
It sounds really tough, but try breaking tasks into smaller steps and setting strict boundaries for work time. Even short breaks can make a big difference, so don’t forget to take care of yourself. Hang in there!
If you’re wondering whether you might be experiencing burnout, you can try this assessment: Naluri Burnout Assessment. This assessment is designed to help you reflect on your work situation and how you’re feeling using the BAT-12, a well-researched tool for assessing burnout.
Please remember though that this is not a diagnostic tool—it’s simply a way to gain more insight into how you’re feeling and what you may need to focus on. Always reach out to a healthcare professional if you’re feeling overwhelmed.
